Some perfumes were born several decades ago. Yet this does not prevent them from still ranking among the best sellers on the French selective market. These extraordinary fragrances have built an incredible reputation and have thus influenced the entire life of many people. Among them is the iconic Air du Temps by Nina Ricci. It was created in 1948 by the talented perfumer Francis Fabron. It was developed under the direction of Robert Ricci, who dreamed of a fragrance in keeping with the postwar woman.

To create his now iconic sillage, he called on the nose Francis Fabron. Two guiding principles shaped his work: dream and poetry. Francis Fabron then envisioned an extreme femininity and a strong dose of seduction. He added to it the poetry tied to the happiness of finding peace again. In fact, Francis Fabron said about his fragrance: I imagine the perfume I would like to smell on the shoulders of the woman I love […] floral, spicy. Moreover, true to himself, Francis Fabron made it an avant-garde perfume with a bold formula. It also requires five weeks of maceration before being ready. To this day, this creation process has still not changed and this perfume continues to enjoy immense success. As an indication, one bottle is sold worldwide every 15 seconds!

While Francis Fabron remains very discreet about his private and professional life, he nonetheless put his name to other fragrances. He collaborated with Givenchy and crafted for them the strong and assertive Vétyver as well as L'Interdit. At the same time, we also owe him the last installment of Robert Piguet's legendary trilogy named Baghari.
