Mon Guerlain Eau de Parfum

Once again, the prestigious house Guerlain intends to make itself heard this year. Indeed, the house has just created a brand new perfume whose release is scheduled for March 2017.

Every perfume is crafted like a great vintage. It requires hours of work and is then savored like a great wine. Also, to enhance these exceptional creations, Pierre François Guerlain inaugurated the art of bottle-making, under the Napoleonic empire. Since that day, the presentation of perfumes has evolved considerably. Nevertheless, Guerlain has always remained a house that is highly advanced and bold in this respect. Thus, if each of its new fragrances is highly anticipated in terms of scent, its visuals are just as much so. So, let us see how Guerlain chose to enhance its new perfume Mon Guerlain.

Mon Guerlain and its distant inspiration

Today, few creative houses can boast a heritage as rich as that of Guerlain. Indeed, the house was born in 1828. Since that day, it has offered the very best of its expertise to convey the image of French elegance beyond our borders. It would also seem that the house chose here to pay tribute to its history. Indeed, its very latest perfume Mon Guerlain has a timeless allure. Moreover, at first glance, this bottle gives off a sense of déjà vu… If that was the impression felt, rest assured, that is no illusion! In reality, Mon Guerlain reinterprets one of the brand's most iconic bottles. It first came to life in 1908. It was created for the perfume Rue de la Paix. It also marked the beginning of the collaboration between the brand and the crystal house Baccarat. When it first launched, this bottle was a real surprise. Indeed, at the time, every case was adorned with a multitude of flourishes. Yet this one had a very minimalist visual. It was, moreover, inspired by a 19th-century pharmacy jar. Moreover, it was precisely its sobriety that allowed it to withstand the passage of time without ever aging. So how has it now been transformed?

The modernization of Mon Guerlain

While Mon Guerlain draws on the house's 1908 bottle, it has nonetheless been somewhat modified. Mon Guerlain is presented in a transparent glass base. It has a sturdy appearance that speaks volumes about the quality of the juice it contains. Guerlain's name appears in transparency, engraved directly into the glass. The whole plays with light to reveal the soft pink color of this infinitely feminine perfume. Mon Guerlain features clean facets paired with precise yet gentle edges. These echo the duality of women's character, creatures capable of being both tender and determined. Mon Guerlain is also enhanced by a finely engraved gold ring at its neck. A true jewel, the whole is topped with a cabochon well known to Guerlain. Present since 1908, it has not been altered in the slightest. Made up of half-spheres grouped into four lobes, it gave this bottle its name: the quadrilobed bottle.
