Miracle, a fragrant ode signed by Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont
To create this miraculous fragrance, Lancôme chose talent. It was Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont who imagined Miracle. Born in Seville, Alberto Morillas is self-taught. In 2003, Alberto Morillas received the François Coty Award for best perfumer. Gifted with an extraordinary artistic sense, Alberto Morillas had already composed numerous successes such as Pi by Givenchy, Belle d'Opium by Yves Saint Laurent and Cologne Mugler by Thierry Mugler. Born in Cannes, Harry Fremont managed to enter the prestigious perfumery school ISIPCA. In 1984 and 85, Harry Fremont received the prestigious award from the Société Technique des Parfums de France. He is behind beautiful fragrances such as Mon Paris Eau de Toilette by Yves Saint Laurent, Ck One by Calvin Klein and Fuel for Life Unlimited by Diesel.
Miracle, or Lancôme's notes of happiness
To create their Miracle, Alberto Morillas and Harry Fremont combined florals with spices, green notes and musky notes. Miracle opens with a fruity floral pairing, namely lychee and freesia. Lychee has been cultivated in China for more than 4000 years. Also known as the cherry of China, lychee was offered to emperors.
Lychee appeared in France in 1721. Three years later, it was cultivated in Madagascar and on Réunion Island. In perfumery, lychee is recreated in the laboratory using synthetic molecules, primarily rose oxide-cis. It releases sweet, fruity, rosy and also green tonalities. Then, the heart of Miracle combines florals and spices, giving the whole composition its unique character. The heart is composed of jasmine, magnolia, Damanesca rose, ginger and Bourbon pepper.
Native to the Far East, magnolia is one of the most beautiful flowering trees of spring. It was in 1711, aboard a sailing ship arriving from the New World, that magnolia reached France (at Paimboeuf). It was François Bonamy, botanist and director of the Jardin des Plantes in Nantes, who gave it its name in 1764. In the language of flowers, magnolia means I love you and I love only you. In perfumery, magnolia releases very floral, soft and sweet tonalities. Finally, the base of Miracle is musky and sensual thanks to the presence of white musks and amber. Clean and graceful, the bottle is filled with a nectar of the softest, most feminine shade of pink.
