REPLICA Never Ending Summer

REPLICA Never Ending Summer arrived in March 2025, an eau de toilette in Maison Margiela’s line of memories, signed by Christophe Raynaud. It tells of an endless summer on the Amalfi Coast: an Italian spritz accord, bitter orange and pepper at the top, an Earl Grey tea accord, cardamom and nutmeg at the center, vetiver, cedar and patchouli at the base.

The house breaks Never Ending Summer down into three stages: the spritz accord, bitter orange and a pepper duet at the top; an Earl Grey accord, cardamom and nutmeg essence at the center; vetiver, cedar and patchouli at the base. It classifies it among fresh citrus scents.

What the house declares

Three materials carry the perfume’s identity in its view: the spritz accord, bitter orange and vetiver. The orange is meant to evoke a fruit just peeled, the vetiver to bring a depth that lingers like the warmth of a summer day.

What the label declares

Past the solvent, fragrance and water, the house declares only allergens: limonene, linalool, hexyl cinnamal, citronellol, citral, geraniol, hydroxycitronellal, coumarin, isoeugenol, benzyl benzoate and eugenol, with an ultraviolet filter, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, and a light stabilizer.

Three colorants tint the juice: an orange, CI 15510, a red, CI 14700, and a violet, CI 60730. No raw material is named: the bitter orange, the tea, the spices and the woods remain blended into the generic term fragrance.

What remains outside the declared accord

Limonene and citral answer the bitter orange of the top, eugenol and isoeugenol the spices of the center. In its pairing advice, the house mentions light neroli notes that no stage of its breakdown carries.
