Oud Velvet Mood

The house describes an accord that blooms into the plush carnality of peach skin, a delicate suede and the enveloping depth of oud wood. It places the fragrance among woody gourmands, and calls it fruity and woody, inspired by a fabric.

Peach, osmanthus and oud

The notes are arranged here as follows: peach at the top; osmanthus in the heart. The fragrance opens on a textured peach note that extends into the leathery, apricot facets of osmanthus.

The peach is an accord: its scent cannot be extracted from the fruit, and Francis Kurkdjian rebuilds it to render its round, juicy, velvety side. A leather accord, here a supple suede, joins it, with saffron, grandiflorum jasmine and oud wood, whose place in the structure the house does not specify.

What the label declares

The list opens with alcohol, fragrance and water, ahead of two UV filters, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane and diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, benzyl benzoate and beta-caryophyllene, with woody, peppery notes.

It lists patchouli oil, Ceylon cinnamon bark oil, eugenol, with a clove scent, jasmine and rose extracts and isoeugenol, spicy and floral, alongside linalool, citronellol and geraniol.

The list closes with hexadecanolactone, a synthetic musk, coumarin and menthol. The house specifies that the formula contains natural extracts, whose particles or color variations do not affect its quality.
