Þe Wode Hath Teth

Þe Wode Hath Teth is the forest of the Werwulf collection, launched in 2026 by Heretic Parfum with Focus Features around Robert Eggers’s film, due in theaters at Christmas. Sold as a limited edition, in a 30 ml bottle at 125 dollars, it has been available since October 26, 2026 on the house’s website alone.

Heretic calls it an “eau de macabre,” without specifying the concentration, and presents it with Werwulf and Blodwode, as well as in a set of three 5 ml miniatures.

The Woods Have Teeth

In Middle English, the title means “the woods have teeth.” In the old tongue, the house recalls, the “wode” is the wilderness beyond the village, where man becomes something else. The fragrance seeks to carry the smell of that forest itself: cold bark, frozen soil, damp moss, smoke in the air.

The house’s story describes a forest breathing in winter: smoke between black branches, juniper burned in ancient rites to keep wolves away, earth sweating resin under the snow, moss clinging to oak bark like dark fur.

The Forest of Werwulf

The house builds the collection on three figures, the forest, the beast and the blood. Þe Wode Hath Teth is its wild forest and its dangers. Douglas Little, who founded Heretic and composes its fragrances, signed all three creations, with guidance from Robert Eggers.
