Zafferano

Zafferano was launched in 2022 by Acqua di Parma within the Signatures of the Sun collection. Classified in the amber family, it fits into the collection's approach of revisiting great raw materials through the lens of Italian elegance. The house claims an inspiration in the technique of Venetian terrazzo — a blend of marble, Murano glass and gold — to evoke the richness and complexity of the composition.

The top combines mandarin, bergamot, coriander and orange, forming a citrus and slightly spicy opening. The heart is dominated by saffron, presented as the fragrance's star ingredient, surrounded by sambac jasmine, geranium, rose and orange blossom, which lend it a floral-spicy opulence. The base settles on an accord of vanilla, tonka bean and patchouli, bringing the warmth and sweetness characteristic of the amber family.

Within the Signatures of the Sun collection, Zafferano represents the richest and most oriental interpretation, thanks to the central presence of saffron. Its amber-spicy construction makes it a fragrance suited to evenings and cold seasons, for a mixed clientele drawn to generous compositions where precious spices engage with the warmth of woody and vanilla materials.
