Perfumery is a field with a gift for transporting us, for making us travel. Sometimes, it means setting off to conquer a distant land. Other times, perfumery simply allows one to immerse oneself in a memory or in the intimacy of a creator. Such is precisely the ambition of Sisley's Eaux Rêvées. This fragrance line consists of six unisex fragrances, all inspired by the d’Ornano family. One of them is named L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria. So who might be hiding behind this name?
The d’Ornano family gave birth to one of the greatest cosmetics brands on the planet: the house Sisley. This house was created in 1976 and has, since then, come a long way. Indeed, Sisley products are today sold in more than 85 countries. Yet the house has never forgotten its family spirit. It is therefore the couple's children who have now taken up the torch. What is more, in their creations, the d’Ornanos never miss an opportunity to highlight this unbreakable bond. L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria is a perfect testament to this. Here is our review.

L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria by Sisley, a subtle nod to the d’Ornano family
Since its founding, Sisley has made a habit of drawing us into its intimate world. Remember, the advertising film for L’Eau de Campagne by Sisley invited us into their family home, into their real living environment. L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria comes from a collection of six fragrances, the Eaux Rêvées, all of which evoke an anecdote, a memory or a beloved member of the d’Ornano family. For some of them, the connection is obvious: L'Eau Rêvée d'Isa is a nod to Isabelle d’Ornano, L'Eau Rêvée d'Hubert echoes the founder of the brand... For L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria, however, the connection is more subtle. It is, in fact, an evocation not only of Maria, the daughter of Isabelle and Hubert, but also of Daria, their niece. Christine d’Ornano explains that her brother wanted there to be some distance, unlike the film for their Eau de Campagne. If playing detective is your thing, this one has it all!
A fragrance so lighthearted that it is impossible to resist
Now that the scene is set, let us get to the heart of the matter and to the scent of this fragrance. L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria by Sisley is filled with enchantment. Its spicy and fruity breath relies essentially on osmanthus. Its enveloping, apricot-like scent unfolds an optimistic feeling here. L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria by Sisley has the flavor of celebration and whimsy! It invites one to seize life with both hands, so much so that one cannot resist it... It is nonetheless freshened with citrus, while being spiced with ginger and nutmeg. Vanilla lends it a suaver aspect. Patchouli, for its part, grants it excellent longevity.
The bottle of L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria, a work of art made by two artists
L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria comes in a bottle shared by the entire Eaux Rêvées collection by Sisley. It displays an apparent simplicity. Yet it is the work of two artists. The glass case and its cap are crafted by the talented sculptor Bronislaw Krzysztof. The packaging of L'Eau Rêvée d'Aria, for its part, has been brightened with numerous colorful touches by the painter Elzbieta Radziwill. Note, in passing, that these are two Polish artists, as another subtle nod to the origins of the d’Ornano couple.
