Le Jardin de Monsieur Li is the fifth Hermès Jardin, composed in 2015 by Jean-Claude Ellena: an imaginary Chinese garden, a place of meditation. The house describes it as floral and green, made of delicate sambac jasmine, tangy kumquat and sparkling bergamot; critics read it as one of the sheerest and most contemplative fragrances in the series.

The bottle, designed by Fred Rawyler, takes up the lines of old carriage lanterns. Its glass is tinted with a delicate yellow gradient, in homage to the imperial color of Chinese tradition.
The box is painted by the artist Li Xin: a river of ink in a thousand shades of anthracite. The bottle can be refilled with a 200 milliliter eau de toilette refill, designed for the 30, 50 and 100 milliliter sizes.
