Pour Homme

The first fragrance Procter & Gamble launched for Lacoste, in 2002, Pour Homme is signed by Claude Dir. The house described it as a woody oriental built around rum: bergamot, plum and apple at the top, juniper, cardamom, pink pepper and cinnamon at the heart, rum, sandalwood, vanilla and musk in the base, in a gray glass bottle with square shoulders.

A gray-tinted glass bottle with clean lines, square shoulders and a gleaming metallic finish; its design is credited to Thierry de Baschmakoff.

According to the house, the bottle mirrors the fresh, understated elegance of the juice: simple, clean lines, clear square shoulders and elegantly gray-tinted glass that underline the fragrance’s masculine character.

Lacoste credits the design to Thierry de Baschmakoff, whom it described as Europe’s most respected packaging guru. It saw the bottle as a modern classic, combining a gleaming metallic finish with a timeless glass bottle, in the spirit of the brand’s new attitude.

Two sizes exist, 50 and 100 ml. The launch coincided with the new silver-gray logo that accompanies it, which the advertising campaign was meant to introduce along with the fragrance.
