Dolce & Gabbana places K by Dolce & Gabbana Elixir among woody ambery fragrances. Incense opens the composition and gives it, the house says, a dark intensity and a touch of power; warm, resinous labdanum fills its heart with leathery nuances.

Incense, labdanum, guaiac

Smoky guaiac wood signs the base and leaves a trail the house wants to be magnetic. Around these three pillars revolve cinnamon, balsam fir, patchouli and a hint of leather.

Where K by Dolce & Gabbana Parfum paired caramelized fig with sandalwood, the elixir gives up fig in favor of resins, incense and smoky woods.

The notes are arranged here as follows: incense at the top; labdanum in the heart; guaiac wood in the base.

What the label declares

Denatured alcohol, fragrance and water open the list, ahead of an ambery woody molecule, vanillin and acetyl cedrene. Linalyl acetate, patchouli oil and lavender oil appear early, alongside linalool.

Two UV filters and two stabilizers protect the liquid. Toward the end come cinnamon bark oil, cinnamal, eugenol and santalol, and no colorant is declared.
