Launched in 1988 by the house of Boucheron, Jaïpur Homme is defined as an oriental-spicy composition. Jaïpur Homme is an ode to distant India. This fragrance draws inspiration from the wonderful gardens of Maharajah Jai Singh I. It should be noted that Jaipur is the capital of Rajasthan and symbolizes the love for this country held by the Boucheron heirs. In this sense, Jaïpur Homme wonderfully evokes Louis Boucheron's travels to India during the 1920s. Sophisticated, Jaïpur Homme is an oriental that nonetheless aims to be modern.

To create this wonderful essence, the house of Boucheron called upon Annick Ménardo. She was born in Cannes, not far from Grasse, the olfactory paradise of all perfumers. After studying chemistry, Annick Ménardo joined the prestigious perfumery school ISIPCA. She subsequently worked at Créations Aromatiques, which became Symrise. She currently works at Firmenich, where she can give free rein to her inspirations. A forward-thinking and contemporary figure, Annick Ménardo is deeply passionate about her craft. Jaïpur Homme, the magic of the Orient
Annick Ménardo chose to open this fragrance with the invigorating freshness of lemon, paired with that of bergamot and lime, which offers an additional gust of freshness. Nevertheless, a spicy touch comes to enhance the top notes, with the presence of cardamom. Lime is the fruit of the lime tree, native to Southeast Asia. Ultra-fresh, lime offers in perfumery tones that are both lemony and minty. The heart moves toward floral tones such as rose, jasmine and carnation, which lend a feminine aspect. These tones are then contrasted by cinnamon. An oriental spice par excellence, cinnamon bears atypical scents from near and far that evoke the sun and warm the heart. The base of Jaïpur Homme is at once powerful and sensual, combining tonka bean, cedarwood, patchouli and benzoin. Tonka bean is contained within the fruit of the Brazilian teak, a tree that can reach up to 30 meters in height. Tonka bean is also highly prized in cooking. In perfumery, tonka bean offers scents that are vanillic, caramelized, balsamic, smoky or coumarinic.
