Izia, the beauty of a woman at her peak Sisley is a model family business. It was in 1976 that Hubert d'Ornano founded the house of Sisley. With his wife Isabelle, he developed products based on phytotherapy.
After a long wait, Sisley decided to indulge its fans and offer them a brand new fragrance named Izia. It is described as a floral bouquet made up mostly of rose, with an assertive and sensual character. This modern and feminine composition contrasts sharply with the other creations of the house of Sisley. It aims to be both sun-kissed and authentic, for a fleeting, airy and warm result. But what did Sisley choose in terms of design to showcase this new fragrance?
The importance of the bottle for Sisley
While the art of bottle design is recognized worldwide today, it remains fairly recent in the history of perfumery. Yet it is indeed essential to showcasing a fragrance. Although in consumers' minds a fragrance is above all a brand, an advertisement and a scent, it is safe to say that they would not buy a fragrance whose aesthetics do not match their fantasies. As Serge Mansau, a particularly prolific designer who has worked for the greatest creative houses, explains, perfumery is an art comparable to theater: the text is akin to the fragrance itself, the set to its box, and the leading actor to the bottle. Brands are therefore increasingly attentive to the aesthetics of their products. They consider that the object offered to the consumer must be a true work of art conveying a message. Sisley is no exception to this rule. Moreover, there are today so many olfactory releases that it has become essential to stand out from the competition. This also comes through the visual. Let us look at the aesthetic choice made by the house of Sisley.
Izia's sun-kissed bottle
When designing the Izia bottle, it seems that Sisley chose to highlight the femininity and summery aspect of its fragrance. Indeed, it is revealed in transparent glass showcasing a particularly sun-kissed color. The bottle's hue plays on a gradient conceived in shades of yellow, orange, pink and coral. The result is absolutely summery and immediately evocative of sunny days. Moreover, even the name of this fragrance is inscribed with lightness directly onto the glass. Izia is engraved on the front in gold lettering, as if handwritten. The whole also reveals extreme femininity. Izia is presented in a case with generous curves. Entirely rounded, it is ideally designed for handling. Moreover, a notch resembling a bubble further accentuates this effect. The clarity of the whole, meanwhile, is highlighted by a transparent cap. The whole is absolutely harmonious and worthy of all the house of Sisley's expertise in design and glasswork.
