The house did not hesitate to shake up conventions, offering its audience a tobacco fragrance reinvented for women. Hyperbole draws its ultra-femininity from facets nonetheless most often described as masculine. The result is a distinguished and radiant juice with a particularly explosive sensuality.

Hyperbole, a juice true to the subversive spirit of Courrèges

Courrèges is a company founded in 1961 by André and Coqueline Courrèges. Together, they envisioned a brand perfectly rooted in its era, offering miniskirts while not hesitating to upend established fashion codes. Although the house kept a lower profile for about twenty years, at the end of the 1980s it seemingly decided to rise from its ashes and stir all our senses with its new perfume Hyperbole. This juice was created at the instigation of its two new presidents, Jacques Bungert and Frédéric Torloting. They have always stated: We do not know this industry, but fashion, like the field we come from, is a creative territory. It is precisely this boundless imagination that they brought into their perfume. It dares the unthinkable, using olfactory notes traditionally reserved for masculine perfumery to create a wildly feminine juice.

Courrèges transforms tobacco

Hyperbole is a perfume that presents women in a new light. It seems to reveal an unprecedented facet of her sensuality, appearing bolder than ever and equally charismatic. Through this fragrance, the entire subversive past of Courrèges as well as its progressive message resurface. Hyperbole is a perfume with an oriental and spicy composition. It begins with an incisive burst woven from bergamot and white pepper. The citrus notes are particularly impertinent here. Then, its heart becomes a true explosion of surprises. It combines patchouli and tobacco, an ingredient usually reserved for men. Thus, Courrèges describes its perfume Hyperbole as a concentrate of instinctive femininity. This femininity becomes increasingly charismatic, yet ends on a softer note. Hyperbole closes its course with a bewitching, syrupy sillage containing vanilla and tonka bean. Hyperbole is also a striking perfume in terms of design. It comes in a bottle resembling a kind of giant keyring. Made entirely of glass, it has a square base containing an explosive orange juice. Its spray nozzle, meanwhile, is encircled by a ring similar to that of a keyring. Thus, Hyperbole appears as a perfume to carry everywhere.
