The Hyperbole perfume for women by Courrèges Courrèges is an unconventional brand, far removed from the overly commercial trends of the perfumery world. Also, with the Hyperbole perfume, the house has shown unparalleled boldness.
During the 1990s the magnificent house created by André Courrèges suffered, so much so that the label threatened to disappear… That was without counting on the boldness of two men, Jacques Bungert and Frédéric Torloting, who in 2011 gave this iconic house a second wind by reviving its cult fragrances and, better still, by offering new ones! Hyperbole immediately stood out as a double revolution: that of an iconic label being reborn and that of a floral oriental perfume conceived as tobacco for women!
Courrèges has lost none of its legendary originality, and Hyperbole proves it wonderfully!
Courrèges represents everything that fashion offered that was most graphic, most original and most daring between the 1960s and 1970s. Courrèges is also legendary perfumes such as Empreinte, Eau de Courrèges and In Blue, each of which in turn marked its decade with original accords, sometimes powerful with patchouli, sometimes fresh. The Courrèges label seemed unshakeable, yet the new millennium nearly proved fatal to it…
It was in 2011 that the house of Courrèges rose from its ashes and proved to the entire world that it had lost none of its splendor nor its prestigious past. Thus the two men at its head revived the great classics and, even bolder, launched new collections as well as new perfumes such as Blanc de Courrèges and La Fille de L'air. Then came the splendid Hyperbole, which once again reminded everyone that Courrèges is above all a fiercely innovative label.
The two perfumers behind the creation of Hyperbole, Antoine Lie and Jean Jacques, wanted to freely compose a honeyed tobacco for women; Courrèges gave them free rein.
A perfume that is hyper-Courrèges! Whether one embraces it or not, it resembles nothing else currently on the market. Why should perfume not meet the same demands as fashion? Musque-moi on Hyperbole by Courrèges.
Hyperbole, a feminine perfume without flowers!
In 2016 Hyperbole was born, a beautiful masculine-feminine oriental that ventures far off the beaten path, reaffirming, if need be, that Courrèges is the label that surprises. It must be said that Antoine Lie and Jean Jacques are two resolutely nonconformist perfumers, and their joint composition could not be like any other perfume, especially since they both wanted, for once, to create a feminine perfume without flowers! An unprecedented challenge in perfumery…
Thus the beautiful feminine perfume Hyperbole plays with the usual citrus accords of feminine perfumes, with a lovely bergamot that quickly takes on spicy and surprising black pepper notes, usually reserved for masculine perfumes. At the heart, swirls of blond tobacco charm and captivate us, immersing us in a woody yet also gourmand tonka bean… A gourmand quality that extends into the depths of Hyperbole through notes of cocoa and vanilla. A melting sweetness that takes on the soft sensuality of patchouli, reaffirming loud and clear the beautiful femininity of this perfume.
