Werwulf is the unisex fragrance Heretic Parfum launched in 2026 with Robert Eggers and Focus Features around the film Werwulf. Composed by Douglas Little, this animalic musk brings together bitter grapefruit, rose and osmanthus in the top, iris, violet leaf and vanilla in the heart, and labdanum, vetiver, benzoin and a fur accord in the base.

Werwulf comes in a 30 ml bottle of glossy, opaque black glass, rectangular with rounded corners and shoulders sloping toward a cylindrical neck. The front bears, in white, the house name, the fragrance name in ornate capitals and the words “eau de macabre.”
The broad, faceted black cap carries a white circular seal on top. The black box opens onto the bottle, surrounded by nine wax seals, each bearing the name of a note translated into Middle English, and by sigils designed with an Oxford scholar.
On the packaging, the instruction “Breke þe seal” invites the wearer to break the seal; Middle English words and spellings run across the bottles, boxes and printed matter of the entire collection.
