Blodwode

Blodwode is a unisex fragrance by Heretic Parfum, composed in 2026 by Douglas Little for the Werwulf collection, born alongside Robert Eggers’s film. Its name means “blood wood”; this musk brings together cinnamon bark, mastic and a blood note in the top, jasmine and rose in the heart, and patchouli, vetiver, benzoin and musk in the base.

A 30 ml bottle in glossy black glass, its name printed in white, topped with a faceted black cap bearing a seal.

Blodwode comes in a 30 ml bottle of glossy, opaque black glass, rectangular with rounded corners and shoulders sloping toward a cylindrical neck. The front bears, in white, the house name, the fragrance name in ornate capitals and the words “eau de macabre.”

The broad, faceted black cap carries a white circular seal on top. On the packaging, the instruction “Breke þe seal” invites the wearer to break the seal; Middle English words and spellings run across the bottles, boxes and printed matter of the collection.
