Good Girl Gone Bad

Kilian opens the Eau de Parfum with apricot-tinged osmanthus absolute, orange blossom, and May rose absolute. The heart bursts into what the house calls the three sirens of flowers: tuberose absolute, jasmine, and narcissus.

The house does not describe the base. In 2012, Mark Behnke found an accord of amber and patchouli and, at the very end, a discreet skin accord built on musk and vetiver. Patty White describes a woody, velvety base of amber, vetiver, and musk.

The launch notes

The note list released at launch names jasmine sambac, osmanthus, rose, tuberose, narcissus, violet and plum accords, cedarwood, amber, patchouli, vetiver, and musk, without dividing them into top, heart, and base.

Mark Behnke makes jasmine the pivot of the Eau de Parfum, surrounded by tuberose, narcissus, osmanthus, and rose; to him the osmanthus leans toward leather more than apricot. Patty White smells a light violet and plum.

Peach, neroli, bergamot, mandarin, cinnamon, and sandalwood, often associated with Good Girl Gone Bad, appear neither in the house’s description nor in the launch list.

What the label declares

The label declares citronellol, linalool, geraniol, farnesol, benzyl benzoate, limonene, eugenol, benzyl alcohol, benzyl salicylate, isoeugenol, citral, and hydroxycitronellal. BHT slows the formula’s oxidation, and benzoic acid preserves it.
