Good Girl Gone Bad

Good Girl Gone Bad is the Eau de Parfum that Alberto Morillas composed for By Kilian in 2012, within the In the Garden of Good and Evil collection inspired by original sin. Apricot-tinged osmanthus, orange blossom, and May rose open onto a heart of tuberose, jasmine, and narcissus, which the house ranks among its narcotic flowers.

A white-lacquered bottle, engraved on its sides and marked with a gold plate bearing its name, which the house makes endlessly refillable.

In 2012, the collection’s three perfumes arrived in new white bottles, housed in a white clutch topped with a golden serpent. The clutch draws on the pared-back aesthetic of the 1920s, and the serpent recalls original sin.

Kilian Paris now describes a white-lacquered bottle, engraved on each side, and a gold metal plate on which the perfume’s name is inscribed by hand. Its texts read the engraving sometimes as the symbols of original sin, door, serpent, vine, and apple, sometimes as the shield of Achilles.

The bottle can be refilled endlessly with a 50 ml refill. Kilian Hennessy sees it as a precious object, made for a lifetime, and repeats that in perfumery it is as much about seduction as about protection.
