Mandarin became very popular in China, especially during Chinese New Year. Mandarin was introduced to Europe in the 19th century. The fruit of the mandarin tree, mandarin has sweet, fragrant flesh. In perfumery, mandarin essence is obtained by expression of the fruit peel. It releases tonalities that are at once fresh, sweet and tangy. The heart of Eau Hyper Fraiche then moves toward floral, refreshing notes, combining mint, petitgrain and jasmine.
