The One for Men Parfum

Dolce & Gabbana takes The One for men into a parfum concentration, signed by Jean-Christophe Hérault. The house assigns only four materials to stages: black pepper and tarocco orange at the opening, labdanum at the heart, tobacco at the base. Its own classification is ambery spicy, for what it gives as a darker rereading of its eau de parfum.

A single signed review judges the fragrance to date. Varanis Ridari hears in it a thick, leathery, ambery tobacco, which he takes for a composition of its own rather than a reinforced eau de parfum.

What critics say

Varanis Ridari, The Scented Devil, September 18, 2026

He refuses to see in it the reinforced version of the line's eau de parfum and speaks of a composition unrelated to it. He describes a dense tobacco, loaded with leathery and ambery facets, which he likens to Mancera's Red Tobacco.

The opening strikes him as heavy, between a tobacco accord, sweet orange and an almost liqueur-like labdanum. He places the tonka bean front and center and warns that the fragrance will put off anyone who tolerates it poorly.
