Dolce & Gabbana takes The One for men into a parfum concentration, signed by Jean-Christophe Hérault. The house assigns only four materials to stages: black pepper and tarocco orange at the opening, labdanum at the heart, tobacco at the base. Its own classification is ambery spicy, for what it gives as a darker rereading of its eau de parfum.
A semi-lacquered glass in deep ambery tones, capped with a glossy brown stopper.
The house describes a semi-lacquered glass in deep tones, enclosing an ambery juice. The stopper, brown and glossy, cuts against the dark mass and signs the parfum version of the line.
The design keeps the rectangular silhouette of The One, which the house calls clean and linear. Nothing changes in the architecture of the flacon: the material darkens, and the opposition between the lacquered mass and the stopper remains the only visible sign.
The women's side of the collection receives a gold stopper while the men's version keeps brown. The house gives these two colors as two faces of a shared evolution, and speaks of a renewed vision of its sophistication.
