My Devotion

My Devotion arrived in 2025, the third women’s fragrance in Dolce&Gabbana’s Devotion line, as an eau de parfum intense. Olivier Cresp opens it with pear blossom and blackcurrant, builds its center on peony and orange blossom, and keeps at the base the Madagascar vanilla of the original, surrounded by ambrox and amber woods.

The house breaks My Devotion down into three stages: pear blossom and blackcurrant at the top, peony and orange blossom at the center, Madagascar vanilla at the base, joined by ambrox and an amber woods accord. It places it among floral gourmands.

What the house declares

Pear blossom brings a soft, airy elegance, blackcurrant a fruity liveliness. Peony, with green and lightly sweet facets, is brightened by orange blossom. Madagascar vanilla links the perfume to the 2023 eau de parfum.

What the label declares

Right after denatured alcohol, fragrance and water, the list names two base materials: tetramethyl acetyloctahydronaphthalenes, or Iso E Super, and hexamethylindanopyran, a white musk that perfumers call galaxolide.

Further on it cites hydroxycitronellal, vanillin, two ultraviolet filters, ethylhexyl salicylate and butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, bergamot oil, linalool, geranyl and linalyl acetates, limonene, geraniol, citronellol, pinene, benzaldehyde, rose ketones, bitter orange flower oil, citral and methyl 2-octynoate.

What remains outside the declared accord

The bitter orange flower oil confirms the announced center, and vanillin the vanilla of the base. Galaxolide and Iso E Super, which the house does not name, carry the musky, woody trail that its breakdown attributes to ambrox and amber woods.

Benzaldehyde, with its bitter almond and cherry smell, and rose ketones, with their fruity accents, extend the fruit of the blackcurrant; bergamot oil, absent from the breakdown, brightens the opening. Neither peony, nor pear blossom, nor blackcurrant appears under its own name: all remain blended into the generic term fragrance.
