Bois de Jasmin: a lily of the valley beyond time

Victoria Frolova, on January 23, 2007, describes a transparent, airy floral with green, leafy notes, closer to a dream than to a bouquet, lifted by an animalic touch. She places it beyond fashions and beyond time.

She finds the reworked eau de toilette somewhat strident and regrets a synthetic woody note in the extrait. In a 2011 update, she finds the eau de parfum richer and denser, with a pronounced jasmine.

ÇaFleurBon: the son’s word

Michel Roudnitska, on April 28, 2011, regrets that the formula had to be modified, the common fate of many great perfumes, but judges the reworked version still very close to the original. He advises checking which version one buys, since the packaging alone is not enough to tell them apart.

The Candy Perfume Boy: vintage first

Thomas Dunckley, on November 26, 2015, compares a 1980s eau de toilette with the current formula: he finds the latter pretty but unmoving, harsher, while the vintage overwhelms him with its cold lily of the valley, softened by jasmine and ylang-ylang over an animalic warmth.
