Olfastory’s review

Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum, a fragrance for men of character

Initially, Boss Bottled embodies a rather classic and authentic businessman. This perfume paints the portrait of a man with a neat, comfortable look, who values functionalism above all and avoids showiness at all costs. Once again, with this new creation, Hugo Boss falls within a highly qualitative register. Its raw materials have been rigorously selected. That said, this fragrance proves more explosive than in the past. Through this composition, it is a bit as if Hugo Boss were revealing a new part of its creative spirit, presenting itself as an ever more innovative house. More specifically, Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum owes its existence to one of the greatest perfumers on the planet: Honorine Blanc. In collaboration with the Coty license, she developed a more intense perfume, created for the man of today, who remains true to himself, follows his own path, and defines his own version of success. At first, Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum is characterized by a highly contrasted opening. Apple and bergamot bring it a true breath of freshness. Conversely, black pepper plays in a more fiery, spirited register. Gradually, the gourmand quality of chestnut wraps itself in other spices. Here, it is a matter of cardamom and cinnamon. Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum immediately seems to burn with an inner fire. Its virility then intensifies at the base with the addition of vetiver. This noble wood offers a leathery and smoky finish on skin, thanks in particular to an addition of musk. Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum is a genuine success, created for the motivated and ambitious man.

As for the bottle, no major change at Hugo Boss

While, in terms of scent, Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum perfectly respects the DNA of its predecessors while offering them an unprecedented and surprising touch, in terms of design, on the other hand, Hugo Boss prefers restraint and avoids novelty. Its bottle remains substantially the same as that of its predecessors. It must be said that it is a true feat of purity that moves through the ages without aging a bit. No one would say that this visual is already more than 20 years old. Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum comes in a cylindrical flask with a reinforced base. This makes it easy to grip immediately. Its simple shape is decorated with the brand name engraved in relief. The only real novelty: Boss Bottled Eau de Parfum comes with a new golden bronze color.
