Bois Mystérieux, a powerful and boldly audacious fragrance

Like all Guerlain fragrances, Bois Mystérieux is the work of the talented perfumer Thierry Wasser. Here, this bold figure chose to place the emphasis on a pairing of woods from the Orient. Cedar mingles with patchouli. Myrrh also comes to illuminate the whole. The result is an absolutely intoxicating interplay of light and shadow. Bois Mystérieux does not stop there and further asserts its sensuality in an oriental, leathery breath. Thierry Wasser also had the idea of grounding its refinement in the presence of one of the most prestigious spices on the planet: saffron. This exceptional raw material comes from a flower with a very short lifespan, around 48 hours. The result is an ephemeral treasure to slip into the hollow of one's neck... It should also be noted that Bois Mystérieux is unisex, and is therefore intended for men and women alike.

Bois Mystérieux comes in a bottle directly inspired by Guerlain's famous Flacon aux Abeilles. It thus offers an immersion into the house's heritage. Fully opaque, it relies on a flamboyant orange color. This is present on its sides as well as on a fabric ribbon tied around its neck. The front of Bois Mystérieux is also decorated with a label featuring multiple arabesques, in a highly oriental style. The patterns running across its sides are, in turn, inspired by the Poudre C’est Moi created by Guerlain in the late 1920s.
