Thus, he asked Pierre Négrin, perfumer at Firmenich, to compose the scent of a rare and precious flower, the black orchid. But the black orchid has no particular scent, so Pierre Négrin had to deconstruct the beautiful dark flower to learn its secrets and attempt to bring its imagined scents to life through other accords.

Black Orchid first opens with fresh and luminous top notes thanks to the citrus notes of lemon and mandarin. However, the blackcurrant note adds a fruity yet slightly darker touch to this sparkling opening. Yet quickly we find ourselves at the heart of Black Orchid, as if swept away by the radiant light of jasmine, ylang-ylang and gardenia.
