Athénaïs is a feminine perfume by Parfums de Marly, launched in February 2026. A floral amber with historical inspiration, it pays tribute to Athénaïs de Montespan, favorite of Louis XIV. The composition unfolds in three stages: a sparkling citrus opening, a heart of white flowers, and an enveloping base of vanilla and tonka bean.
Neroli, sweet and floral, occupies the top alongside bergamot and yuzu; the latter two share a common freshness, while neroli stands apart through its sweetness and floralcy.
Orange blossom, waxy and sweet, and jasmine, warm and sweet, bring together the heart around a shared sweetness, with the waxiness and warmth remaining specific to each.
Vanilla, spicy and sensual, accompanies tonka bean, toasted and almondy, in the base of the perfume.
