Chanel has spent many years crafting increasingly creamy creations to perfect the allure of its clientele. The house also translated this into fragrances, starting in 1996. Allure Sensuelle, however, appeared much later, in 2006, as if to celebrate the tenth anniversary of this exceptional perfume.
Having joined in 1978 as the sole in-house perfumer of the house of Chanel, Jacques Polge managed not only to uphold the values of the famous perfume house but also to bring fresh momentum to its fragrant creations. With Allure in 1996, then Allure Sensuelle ten years later, Jacques Polge offered fragrances with Chanel's elegance while bringing brilliant, highly sensual novelties, as the master perfumer had always wished.

Succeeding Henri Robert in 1978 within the great house of Chanel, Jacques Polge had a good number of fragrant ideas in mind, including one he held particularly dear: rejuvenating and modernizing the image of the venerable perfume house. With the magnificent Coco, the handsome Egoïste or indeed Antaeus, Jacques Polge's bet quickly paid off, which did not stop him from continuing to offer elegant boldness afterward…
With Allure, Jacques Polge signed a perfume entirely in the very elegant spirit of the house, but also highly innovative and ultimately rather original, notably through its six-facet olfactory construction. Ten years later, after fine masculine declinations of his success, the perfumer chose to revive Allure and its six facets for women's faces, offering it a far more oriental successor: Allure Sensuelle.
Aware that fashion is also an evolution of writing, Jacques Polge wanted to reinforce the power of his original juice by giving it sensual but also sexual scents, the creator not hiding his attraction to these “sexual” fragrances with strong personalities. Thus Allure Sensuelle would be the mirror of the absolutely irresistible magnetism of all women, and each could recognize herself in one or several of its floral, fruity, spicy or deliciously oriental facets.

Allure Sensuelle was designed by Jacques Polge around six different olfactory facets, just like its brilliant predecessor Allure and its counterpart Allure Homme. Each of its facets represents the diversity of the personality of Chanel women, all sharing that indispensable touch of grace known as allure.
Between Allure and Allure Sensuelle, Jacques Polge of course changed his fragrant compositions to make Allure Sensuelle a fine floral oriental, but he also managed to preserve some of the beautiful scents of the original Allure. Thus the floral facets, the fresh facets, the woody facets and the fruity facets carry over from Allure to Allure Sensuelle, offering them some fine variations in terms of raw materials.
However, the precious novelties of Allure Sensuelle bathe these relatively classic scents in burning accords. Incense and black pepper become spicy accords with the intense light of the Orient, while the richness of the Bourbon vanilla and amber-patchouli accord marks the depths of Allure Sensuelle with its magnetic sillage.
