Alien Man

The men's version of the Alien Mugler fragrance is a perfume signed by Thierry Mugler that has been drawing us into its mysterious and sacred universe for 13 years now. Until now, it had been exclusively a feminine juice, a sort of sacred stone with multiple virtues.

Alien-Man, the imposing sculpture by Thierry Mugler. Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, the Alien fragrance, an emblematic scent by Thierry Mugler, resurfaces in 2018. This time, it reappears in the form of a men's fragrance, symbolizing a new facet of mystery for the Thierry Mugler house. A masculine alter ego to one of the house's greatest juices, it delivers the image of a contemporary hero, half man half god. Alien-Man is a woody and floral juice that cultivates disquiet and the unexpected. So how does this materialize in its bottle? A focus on its hypnotic, imposing and captivating bottle.

Alien-Man, like a sense of déjà vu

The new Thierry Mugler bottle draws heavily on its feminine predecessor. The very first Alien was born in 2005. Aimed at women, it nestled in a precious bottle with a jutting, sculptural shape. The Alien bottle resembled a precious stone, finely carved by the hands of one of the greatest jewelers. With its purple color, it resembled above all an amethyst. Its facets were meant to be irregular yet symmetrical. A truly sacred object, Alien inspired fascination, both through its silhouette and its highly sensual brown color. Maintaining the mystery, this bottle was also gripped by four golden claws that seemed to protect the fragrance enclosed within. Its name, meanwhile, was inscribed on its back, twice vertically, resembling an enigmatic formula to be deciphered as quickly as possible. It is therefore quite a few of these elements that are found once again this time on the Alien-Man bottle by Thierry Mugler.

The new Alien-Man bottle

Today, even though the Alien-Man bottle is a tribute to its feminine alter ego, it appears more modern, more imposing and more masculine. Its design is now more minimalist and its shape gets straight to the point. We are far from the multiple facets cut in different directions of the past. It is somewhat as if Alien-Man took up the architectural structure of its feminine predecessor while simplifying it. Now, its facets are perfectly smooth. Its base, meanwhile, has widened. Thus, Alien-Man seems to rest on a perfectly stable foundation. It reveals to us the portrait of a man who is confident and firmly grounded. The golden claws of the past have disappeared, in favor of a more imposing and masculine solid silver line. Despite all these changes, Alien-Man's belonging to the great Thierry Mugler family is immediately apparent, notably thanks to its original purple color. This has been darkened to the maximum at its center and base. Nevertheless, almost unreal glints of pink and orange reveal themselves in its walls. A violet nuance emerges, giving rise to a luminous ray on the surface of Alien-Man. From then on, it is somewhat as if this juice were preparing to illuminate the world with its aura. This fragrance then becomes less shadowy while preserving an absolute virility. Alien-Man is a fragrance of a new kind that simply reinvents the history of its predecessors.
