A collaboration between Azzedine Alaïa and Marie Salamagne

It was to an outstanding artist that the Azzedine Alaïa house turned to create its brand new Eau de Parfum Blanche. In this case, it was created by perfumer Marie Salamagne. An artist passionate about painting, dance and music, she seems to have found her calling in the olfactory world. A graduate of the ISIPCA perfumery school in Versailles, she masterfully combines her love of scents with a more scientific approach. Her signature can be recognized through skillful blends of warm woody notes and floral scents. This is precisely what is found in the Eau de Parfum Blanche. This perfume is similar to an enormous bouquet of white flowers. Far from being merely plants synonymous with lightness, here they display extreme sensuality. Thus, the Eau de Parfum Blanche comes across as an enveloping, carnal perfume. Moreover, it aims to be particularly radiant and is enhanced with sun-kissed tonalities. Likewise, this sense of well-being is further reinforced by the exotic presence of vanilla. Musk, for its part, gives the whole composition more depth and eroticism. Thus, the Eau de Parfum Blanche leaves behind a particularly seductive trail. Its powdery side, meanwhile, proves to be very elegant and refined. Thus, Azzedine Alaïa and Marie Salamagne managed to find the right balance between temptation and refinement.

The new bottle of the Eau de Parfum Blanche

In terms of aesthetics, the Eau de Parfum Blanche is not without evoking the design of its predecessor. Originally, this case was designed in collaboration with designer Martin Szekely. The intent was to allude to Azzedine Alaïa's iconic perforated pattern. The whole was then conceived in entirely black opaque glass. Today, this has given way to greater transparency. Its clarity is now visible right through its glass walls. The rosy beige letters reading Alaïa Paris are, meanwhile, still present at its center. The whole pairs beautifully with the sublime bottle typical of this fragrance collection. It creates a connection with the couture universe of the Azzedine Alaïa house. It resembles a spool of gold thread, the ultimate reference to the elegance and original craftsmanship of the famous designer Azzedine Alaïa. Thus, from couture to Azzedine Alaïa perfumery, there now seems to be only a single step.
