Today, it is a major player in feminine fragrances, of which the recent 2014 perfume Love Story is one of the best-sellers. While it was initially created as an Eau de Parfum, it is now available in the form of an Eau de Toilette that is at once green, sensual and soft.

The romanticism of Chloé

As the name Love Story suggests, this perfume reads like a concentrate of romanticism. It depicts the image of an evening in the heart of Paris under a sky filled with light. There, in the midst of the most romantic city in the world, our gaze falls upon a budding love story. Love Story Eau de Toilette is conceived like strong feelings, knowing glances, whispered words, a moment of freedom and grace… Two lovers take each other by the hand and only their laughter echoes through the cobbled streets of the capital. In their wake floats a delicate perfume: Love Story Eau de Toilette. This fragrance is signed, like its predecessor, by perfumer Anne Flipo. The whole was orchestrated by Clare Waight Keller, creative director of Chloé, and is embodied on screen by actress Clémence Poésy under the expert eye of director Mélanie Laurent. Likewise, the entire advertising campaign for Love Story Eau de Toilette was shot through the lens of photographer Inez Van Lamsweerde.

Love Story Eau de Toilette, a perfume like morning dew

While the Love Story Eau de Parfum immersed us in the heart of night with its seductive and sustained scent, Love Story Eau de Toilette carries more softness and lightness. It is a little as if day were resurfacing, immersing us in a morning freshness as if bathed in dew. Its vitality opens with a breath of bergamot. Then, the citrus scent carries through into the heart thanks to the radiance of orange blossom. This white flower is accompanied by the airy quality of lily of the valley as well as green notes. Rose then enriches this ensemble with its innate elegant femininity. Then, plum lends Love Story Eau de Toilette a more fruity and particularly juicy aspect. This is then quickly followed by solar notes in the base, and Love Story Eau de Toilette finally leaves in its sillage a fresh, clean sensation emanating from white musks. If the scent of Love Story Eau de Toilette is decidedly chic, its bottle is no less elegant. Admirers of the Chloé brand will recognize the house's signature through its fluted bottle. This famous pleating is directly inspired by the sleeve of a Chloé house blouse. The whole, however, has a more elongated silhouette than before. Finally, as if to protect this budding love, the bottle is adorned with a small gold-toned metal padlock as well as a ribbon casually tied at its top.
