Tobacco Oud

At Tom Ford, Tobacco Oud takes the form of an Eau de Parfum composed by Olivier Gillotin. Its heart combines tobacco, with nuances of honey and wax, with woody and animalic oud, surrounded by coriander, cistus, patchouli, sandalwood, and cinnamon. The base brings together benzoin, incense, cedar, and vanilla around resinous and sweet accents.

Composition

Heart

Coriander brings freshness and spicy liveliness. Tobacco evokes honey, almond, and wax, and oud combines wood, incense, and an animalic note. Cistus leans toward amber and resin. Patchouli has an earthy, damp, and camphoraceous facet. Sandalwood is smooth and warm, and cinnamon recalls a spicy bark.

Base

Benzoin offers accents of vanilla, caramel, and toasted almond. Incense brings together camphor, wax, and spices, and cedar recalls pencil shavings and resin. Vanilla closes the accord on a sweet, spicy, and warm note.

Woody family

Its classification among the woody fragrances rests on oud, sandalwood, and cedar, extended by cistus and cinnamon bark. A woody family is built around materials drawn from trees, roots, and resins, dry or smooth, as here with earthy patchouli and incense.
