Songe Précieux is a Givenchy creation from 2017, initially distributed on a quiet basis and designed for travel retail. Grapefruit and black pepper open the composition, peony and jasmine hold the heart, and sandalwood, cedar and white musks sign the base.
Grapefruit, citrus and fresh, opens the top facing black pepper, spicy and sharp: to the freshness of the former, the latter opposes its sharpness.
Peony and jasmine bring together two closely related flowers at the heart, one tender and rosy, the other warm and sweet.
Sandalwood, woody and velvety, occupies the base with cedar, evoking pencil shavings and resin, and white musks, coppery and animalic: the sandalwood's wood is answered by the resin, while the musks lean toward the animalic.
