Where to buy

But where does it draw such a source of inspiration from? Essentially at the heart of nature! It is therefore to pay tribute to this nurturing land that Cartier chose to create, in 2021, a new trio of fragrances: Rivières de Cartier. In a very green and wild register, Rivières Luxuriance de Cartier takes us to the heart of Corsica!

The Rivières de Cartier collection

Before anything else, let us start by presenting the Rivières de Cartier collection as a whole. All these fragrances draw inspiration from nature and are like baths of fresh water. With them, the river flows through three different landscapes and wraps itself in various scents according to the natural elements it encounters. Rivières de Cartier depicts postcards from different places. Moreover, this collection erases the boundary between perfumery and jewelry, Cartier's two areas of predilection. We wanted to evoke a new freshness, and the word Rivières came to mind as an obvious choice, recounts the house's perfumer, Mathilde Laurent. It stands at the crossroads of nature and jewelry, since one speaks of rivers of diamonds, and it made it possible to create a link with perfumery, with the idea of fresh waters. Meanwhile, note that the entire collection is recognizable by its bottle. The three fragrances making up Rivières de Cartier are presented in an identical glass case, only the color of which changes. These are all refillable and designed to reduce their carbon footprint during manufacturing. They are therefore more respectful of the planet and are also presented in packaging made from responsibly managed raw materials.

Rivières Luxuriance de Cartier, a Mediterranean walk

Rivières Luxuriance de Cartier is recognizable by its glass bottle with green and blue reflections. But what does it conceal beneath its small golden spray cap? Sun-kissed and refreshing at once, Rivières Luxuriance de Cartier is undoubtedly the most contrasted fragrance of the entire collection. It renews the idea of a sharp, icy freshness by bringing to it other, more green and aromatic notes. Some might say its breath evokes that of a Ricola candy! Moreover, the idea here is to make warm and cold float together, as if to give rise to a formidable play of light and shadow. This is the river of my childhood, in Corsica, confides Mathilde Laurent, between shadow and light, with an almost icy freshness, along whose banks one wanders beneath the green and intense foliage of fig trees.

Olfastory’s review

For more than 150 years, Cartier has dazzled men and women with its prestigious creations, moving from jewelry to perfumery. As such, Cartier is now considered one of the finest luxury brands in the world, serving along the way as a standard-bearer of French savoir-faire. In order to evolve with the times and constantly find new sources of inspiration, Cartier has never stopped turning to nature. It is therefore only natural that the house has imagined a new trio of fragrances to pay tribute to it. This new saga is called Rivières de Cartier. One of these three compositions proves particularly contrasted. Here is our review of Rivières Luxuriance de Cartier.
