Born in 1996, Rem is Réminiscence’s second pillar after Le Patchouli. Francis Camail translates the memory of the beaches of Saint-Barthélemy: a marine note carried by calone, lilac and jasmine, a heart of patchouli and fenugreek, and a base of vanilla, tonka bean and white musks. Its name is an anagram of “mer”, French for sea.
Lili, of Needs and Moods, no great fan of marine fragrances, calls Rem a favorite: a salty, ambery marine that smells less of the sea than of holidays, carried by a soft, sweet patchouli.

In an August 2026 review, the author, who says she has little taste for aquatic fragrances, finds Rem superbly made: a salty, ambery marine with liqueur-like facets that smells less of the sea than of holidays, of sun-dried salt, warm sand and tanning oil.
The flowers, she feels, keep the fragrance from tipping toward the masculine, and the patchouli, soft and sweet, has in her view none of the green, camphoraceous side that sometimes puts people off. She recommends it in every season, warning that its salty trail will not please everyone.
