Greenley

In 2020, Parfums de Marly added Greenley to its catalog, an Eau de Parfum composed by Nathalie Templer. Its opening combines bergamot, mandarin and apple with cashmere wood. Violet, cedar and petitgrain make up the heart, above a base of oakmoss and musk, on which its citrus character takes shape.

Citrus and apple

Bergamot brings a fruity, almost sweet zest with a distinct freshness. Mandarin sparkles with a sun-kissed luminosity, and apple adds a fruity, gourmand facet. Cashmere wood, warm and soft, gives these fruits a woody foundation right from the opening.

Violet and wood

Violet is recognizable by its powderiness, its greenness and a waxy texture. Pomarose, a synthetic molecule, evokes a rose with accents of ripe fruit. Cedar recalls pencil shavings and resin; petitgrain remains green and sparkling, and Cashmeran combines wood, musk and spices.

Moss and musk

Oakmoss lays down an earthy, damp base, with accents of mossy undergrowth, a material long associated with the architecture of chypres. Musk brings a woody warmth heightened by an animalic touch.

Citrus register

Bergamot, mandarin and petitgrain link Greenley to the citrus family, built on citrus essences drawn from zests by expression or from leaves by distillation. Petitgrain, obtained from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree, extends this register beyond the peel, toward a greenness that violet accompanies.
