Oud Silk Mood is an Eau de Parfum launched in 2018 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Its top note brings together rose, chamomile and bergamot; guaiac wood and hedione hold the heart, while oud and papyrus occupy the base.
Rose, fresh and warm, and bergamot, fresh and fruity, share a common freshness within the top note, which chamomile, green and evocative of stem, crosses with a more vegetal note.
Guaiac wood, smoky and balsamic, sits alongside hedione, floral and fresh, in the heart: the smokiness of one contrasts with the fresh lightness of the other.
Oud, woody and evocative of incense, accompanies papyrus in the base, dry and evocative of old paper; the incense-like woodiness meets a more vegetal dryness.
