Aura, or the splendor of a bottle crafted by Thierry Mugler
Before anything else, let us begin by highlighting the beauty of Thierry Mugler's bottle. Far more than a simple perfume bottle, the designer offers us here a genuine sculpture, a jewel. Taking the shape of a stylized glass heart, the Aura bottle resembles an oversized emerald. Its heart resembles a green-scaled animal. This shade was chosen for its calming effect and its universal symbol of harmony. Thierry Mugler has made the Aura bottle a symbol of optimism. The whole is also set with a metallic “M” echoing the designer's surname. Undoubtedly, every detail here has been crafted with extreme care.
Aura and its highly contrasted formula
Likewise, in terms of its formula, Aura displays many nuances and manages to bring together ingredients that are complete opposites in an intense harmony. The oriental, green and carnal composition of Aura is a genuine feat stemming from the undeniable expertise of perfumer Daphné Bugey. She united a green rhubarb with a woodier base thanks to the sun-kissed and syrupy aspect of orange blossom and vanilla. Likewise, an unexpected ingredient makes its way into the formula of this fragrance. This is wolfwood, a raw material exclusively produced by Firmenich, with a woody, smoky and resinous scent.
A most enchanting visual staging of Aura
Finally, last but not least: it must be acknowledged that Aura is accompanied by an absolutely fascinating advertisement. It features the Belarusian model Zhenya Katava. Moving through a primal jungle, she seems to rediscover her animal instinct, offering us an absolutely fascinating spectacle. The choice of this new ambassador fits this fragrance perfectly. As Thierry Mugler explains: Zhenya Katava is a young woman whose multicultural and multiethnic look has the universal beauty of an archetype. Zhenya Katava's unique light green eyes, her feline nudity, her youthful delicacy, her wild reserve make her the wonderfully expressive symbol of this instinctive and untamed depth that Aura is named after.
