The Aura fragrance by Thierry Mugler Thierry Mugler is a relentless creator who spares no effort to bring his ideas to life. He does not hesitate to develop revolutionary artisanal techniques to fully achieve his objectives.
After presenting us with a talisman and gold, a star and a blue universe, Thierry Mugler has this time decided to plunge us into an intense green color for his new fragrance named Aura. Presented in a bottle cut like an emerald, in the shape of a heart, this new fragrance is a genuine concept. Far from preconceptions and dogmas, it depicts the image of a wild woman rediscovering her primal instinct. Let us take a closer look at how this comes through in its scent. Focus on the highly elaborate formula of the new Aura by Thierry Mugler.
When Thierry Mugler unites the animal and plant worlds with his Aura fragrance
In creating the Aura fragrance, Thierry Mugler clearly aimed to give us the image of a deity that is both bestial and green. The idea, with this fragrance, is to reconnect with one's deepest nature to let one's femininity and aura shine through. Thus, the formula of Aura is a sort of fusion between a green freshness and a feline sensuality. Thierry Mugler has here united two worlds that are complete opposites: that of nature and that of animalism. To link the two, he chose to use orange blossom, a sun-kissed and luminous plant, radiating over these two very different worlds. It unites here a rhubarb leaf and more woody notes. Rhubarb proves sweet and tart, green and sparkling. It is set against wolfwood, an ingredient exclusively produced by the Firmenich company, releasing a woody, smoky, felted, animalic and resinous scent. Finally, note that the whole is also linked by a touch of vanilla. This gives it a more syrupy and carnal side. This raw material further grounds the sensuality of the Aura woman.
Aura, a fragrant composition signed Daphné Bugey
To create this new fragrance, Thierry Mugler pulled out all the stops and surrounded himself with one of the best perfumers on the planet. He called on the talented Daphné Bugey. Born in Grenoble, nothing predestined her to become a perfumer one day. Yet a family trip to Grasse, the world capital of perfume, shaped her professional path. She was barely 12 years old at the time. True to her convictions, Daphné Bugey later joined the prestigious perfumery school in Versailles. She graduated and was recruited by Firmenich, the world leader in creating aromas for the perfume industry. Since that day, Daphné Bugey has poured all her passion into each of her works, and it is precisely this passion that is found in the Aura fragrance by Thierry Mugler.
As you will have understood, Aura is an exceptional fragrance. What is more, its innovative formula is far from being its only asset. In our view, Aura has all the qualities to become one of the greatest fragrances of our decade.
AURA MUGLER marks the new imaginary and mysterious MUGLER universe, combining the animal kingdom and green power. It sketches out a new vision of femininity that invites each woman to “listen to her instinct” in order to reconnect with her deepest nature, with her senses…
and discover within herself an unsuspected power.
Aura Mugler: A DOUBLE OVERDOSE
Excessive, addictive, as all MUGLER fragrances are, AURA MUGLER is built from a double pulsation, a double overdose:
The wild vine - The rhubarb leaf
One ANIMALIC, deep and powerful - The other GREEN, radiant and bounding
So that at the center, a single beating heart
A single emotion, intense and vital
May resonate
YOUR INSTINCT - YOUR AURA
A WORK OF ART
Proposed by Thierry Mugler, crafted by hand by a sculptor before being industrialized, the making of the bottle bears the mark of art.
Aura Perfume: A SURREAL OBJECT
This thing that resembles a sleeping scarab
It is a heart
that pulses
that grows
that throbs
It is a living thing
It is your heart.
