Signature

Signature: The new feminine fragrance from Montblanc. The perfume industry is particularly vast and the houses making their way into the world of scent often come from diverse and varied backgrounds. However, most of the time, they come directly from fashion.

For more than 100 years, the house of Montblanc has drawn us into its luxurious world, crafting all kinds of noble, high-quality products. Of course, everything began with the creation of pens. However, its field of activity has today considerably expanded. Montblanc now offers numerous leather goods, jewelry as well as perfumes. In 2020, Montblanc even decided to create a feminine fragrance, as the quintessence of its style and renown. Montblanc Signature is intended for all unforgettable women and comes in a small inkwell-shaped bottle, as a nod to its entire heritage. So what about its musky, floral and opulent sillage? Here are all the details of its composition!

Montblanc surrounds itself with two perfumers

Montblanc Signature owes its existence to two perfumers: Natalie Gracia Cetto and Guillaume Flavigny. Both are among the best noses on the planet. Here, they chose to play with the contrasts between opulent, sensual vanilla and the cleaner, brighter facet of white musk. Montblanc Signature thus explores several territories at once. With allure and elegance, I wanted to breathe more light, more air and more transparency into Montblanc perfumery, explains Natalie Gracia Cetto. Here, this luminous freshness first takes flight on a scent of clementine. This citrus fruit gives off a zesty, very refreshing breath, whose tangy edge immediately makes one's mouth water.

Montblanc Signature, the richness of a very floral heart

Then, what better than flowers to symbolize femininity? Here, to embody the poetry and sensuality of women, Montblanc relied on a floral trio. Montblanc Signature is built around magnolia, peony and ylang-ylang. Reserved exclusively for fine perfumery, magnolia here unfolds its floral, vanilla-like and lemony scent. Then, its sweet side is further amplified by peony, a true ode to delicacy. More rosy and airy, peony is somewhat reminiscent of the scent of lily of the valley. Here it is paired with ylang-ylang, for a particularly exotic and radiant effect.

Montblanc Signature relies on a highly contrasted base

However, all the depth and contrasts of Montblanc Signature truly emerge in the base of this perfume. Here, white musk gives this fragrance a very clean, crystalline side. Yet two other ingredients play on a more carnal and seductive aspect. Vanilla carries on in the exotic register introduced by ylang-ylang, while revealing the sweetest side of the Montblanc woman. Finally, benzoin resin marks this fragrance's belonging to the family of oriental juices. Fruity, woody and warm, its scent leaves behind a sillage that no one can forget.
