Montblanc’s current page sets out three tiers: clementine, peony and orchid in the top, vanilla, magnolia and ylang-ylang in the heart, musk, amber and benzoin in the base.

The house sums up the formula in three notes, clementine, vanilla and white musk, and describes it as the meeting of a sensual vanilla and the clean facet of musks. Now Smell This lists the same three notes at launch.

What stays outside

The note lists at launch placed peony in the heart and vanilla in the base, with neither orchid nor amber; the house’s current breakdown is followed here. The white musk of those lists is grouped under musk.

What the label declares

The label declares denatured alcohol, fragrance and water, with benzyl salicylate, benzyl benzoate and nine other allergens, including coumarin, cinnamyl alcohol and citral. It mentions neither colorant nor UV filter.
