Match Point Eau de Parfum

Match Point Eau de Parfum, all the vibration of a match point in a Lacoste fragrance. Far more than a simple logo, the Lacoste crocodile is now known to everyone. It is the symbol of one of the most famous houses in France, whose fame took off as early as 1933. Since that day, Lacoste has also been irrevocably linked to the history of tennis.

In 2020, the house of Lacoste imagined a fragrance named Match Point, deeply inspired by the world of tennis. A year later, in 2021, history repeats itself and Lacoste turns this first Eau de Toilette into an Eau de Parfum. On the scent side, its breath intensifies and becomes more vibrant. Match Point Eau de Parfum by Lacoste is a woody and aromatic essence, moving from a bursting freshness to a rounder, more comforting sillage. On the aesthetic side, however, all the codes of tennis are present. Undeniably, Match Point Eau de Parfum encourages every man who wears it to live in the present moment like a match point, with intensity and determination!

The green color of the Match Point Eau de Parfum bottle

The first distinctive element of the Lacoste bottle is its green color. This was already present in its first Eau de Toilette version from 2020. However, for Match Point Eau de Parfum by Lacoste, it intensifies. The soft, light green gives way to a much more pronounced gradient. Naturally, this is an evocation of tennis and immediately recalls the color inseparable from the small Lacoste crocodile. Indeed, it has been the house's logo since 1933. As a side note, this comes from the nickname given to the founder of Lacoste on the tennis courts. René Lacoste was nicknamed the crocodile for his tenacity and determination during matches. While the crocodile appears discreetly on this fragrance's bottle, it lends its color to the whole bottle as well as to its cardboard packaging. Along the way, the green gives this bottle an immediate, highly energizing sense of freshness.

Lacoste opts for a clean, bold design

On the design side, the shape of this bottle is fairly minimalist. Its lines are clean and sharp, giving it a timeless, universal feel. This bottle also features broad shoulders, as if to affirm masculine stature in general. Finally, on the size side, it comes in three variations: a spray bottle of 30, 50 and 100 ml.

The omnipresence of tennis codes

Finally, on several occasions, Match Point Eau de Parfum by Lacoste echoes the world of tennis. First of all, it surprises with the shape of its glass base, in which a rounded silhouette is outlined, not without recalling the emblematic yellow tennis ball. It is almost as if this ball had struck the base of the bottle, leaving an indelible imprint on it. The label of Match Point Eau de Parfum, for its part, is split in two by a horizontal silver line. Could this be the tennis net? Finally, the whole is topped with a cap evoking the handle of a tennis racket. It reproduces every detail of this accessory, right down to the racket grip!
