Pierre Guillaume launched Le Musc & La Peau in 2016, in Parfumerie Générale’s Rework collection: he took the musk milk of Musc Maori and left out its chocolate. Seven musks evoking skin are dressed with bergamot, aldehydes and rosemary, ylang-ylang, sandalwood and cedar, tonka bean and ambroxan, for a skin scent to be worn alone or as a base.
Michelyn Camen of ÇaFleurBon sees in it a second skin without rough edges, all curves, the scent she would like to wear and to find on the one she loves; she recommends wearing it alone.

On May 31, 2016, Michelyn Camen, editor in chief of ÇaFleurBon, offered impressions rather than a review. An admirer of Musc Maori, her second favorite fragrance from the house, she could not stop bringing her wrist to her nose after the first spray.
The aldehydes at the top suggest champagne brushing the lips, the ylang-ylang a gentle floral softness; the lactonic notes and tonka bean draw her in, carried by a sandalwood creamy enough to seem to melt into the skin.
She finds nothing angular in it, only curves: it is the scent she wants to wear and the one she wants to smell on her lover, a second skin in which two people become one. Where the perfumer also suggests layering it, she prefers it worn alone.
