Spices are abundant there and go on to shape the creativity of the greatest noses on the planet. Thus, as Guerlain had done for the creation of Shalimar, it is in India that Parfumerie Générale established the source of its fragrance named Indian Wood.

India according to Parfumerie Générale

If India is a country that fascinates, it is partly because it is steeped in spirituality. Thus, it is a little as if, in this place filled with enchantment, everything becomes possible. As the Italian writer Alberto Maravilla put it, India brings another conception of life. Its concept? According to him, everything that seems real is not real, and everything that does not seem real is real. It is therefore on this contradictory precept that this charming and beguiling country rests. Also, this time it is the nose of Parfumerie Générale, Pierre Guillaume, who seems to have let himself be bewitched by the magic of India. Indian Wood immerses in the land of maharajahs and displays numerous sensual, woody, and spicy notes. It follows the same aromatic and irreverent logic as its predecessor, Harmatan Noir. It is a genuine stopover at the heart of India, a journey in its own right. Furthermore, it is an androgynous fragrance that has what it takes to captivate men and women alike.

Indian Wood and its trilogy of scents

Indian Wood is a woody, exotic fragrance whose composition relies mainly on a triptych made up of oakmoss, sandalwood, and fir balsam. Its flavor resembles no other, and it is an adventure in its own right. It comes directly from a faraway land, and this is felt from its very first breaths. Indian Wood has a sillage of perfect balance combined with exemplary longevity. It opens on a stimulating and surprisingly spicy sensation. Its top notes are made up of peppermint and nutmeg. Then citrus takes over, revealing the flavor of cardamom paired with lemon. Nevertheless, coconut milk comes to soften the whole, lending it a highly exotic effect. It is at this moment that the creaminess of sandalwood takes the stage. This is counterbalanced by the vibrant, deep character of vetiver as well as by the vegetal mystery of green moss.
