Dzongkha appeared in September 2006. Bertrand Duchaufour wrote the formula for L’Artisan Parfumeur, the third stop in a travel series opened by Bois Farine and Timbuktu. The subject is Bhutan: the stone and incense of the monasteries, worn leather, the smoke of a tea sweetened with spices. Powdery iris holds its base.
Robin, of Now Smell This, holds Dzongkha to be a success dominated by iris, less disconcerting than Timbuktu by the same perfumer.

Favourable. She had been waiting for the juice and finds it better than expected. Iris dominates throughout, although the house gives it in heart and base; peony and lychee escape her.
The juice dries towards the dry and the earthy, with a point of spice from the cardamom. She calls it strange in the best sense, and places it between Timbuktu, which she judges harder, and the Paestum Rose by the same perfumer, which she judges easier.
