The house of Lanvin was marked by great feminine perfumes such as Arpège in 1927 or My Sin. Yet masculine perfumes did indeed hold a place of major importance in the aura of the house of Jeanne Lanvin, which offered, for example, in the 1960s, an elegant and refined Monsieur Lanvin. A juice that, although relatively classic, also proved rather modern thanks to its fruit notes paired with animalic facets and traditional aromatic accords. The 1980s were difficult years for the house, which had to reinvent itself in terms of fragrances to once again win men’s hearts. It was with L’Homme Lanvin, composed by Jacques Cavallier in 1997, that the house once again came to the fore, in a marriage of elegant classicism and spicy, sharp modernity.
In 2009 it was Pierre Wargnye, a successful author of masculine perfumery, who returned to the cradle of this Lanvin man to make it even more energetic with Lanvin L’Homme Sport. Of course, the juice takes on a new vigor, but it loses none of its elegance or refinement in the process — a Lanvin man remains a Lanvin man.

Pierre Wargnye is the author of great masculine perfume references that marked the 1980s and 90s, such as the famous Drakkar Noir, but also lovely modern masculine perfumes such as La Nuit de L’Homme or Only the Brave. Finally, the depths of this Lanvin L’Homme Sport are more powerful than ever, offering a contrast to the opening freshness. Patchouli, moss and white musks together form a sensual sillage for this sporty man, who knows how to remain elegant and charming.
