La Favorite is released in 2026 by Jean Paul Gaultier, carried by the floral richness of Queen of the night and the intense floral character of Sambac jasmine. Amélie Jacquin and Quentin Bisch place the caramel of Benzoin at the heart, and the sensuality of White musks at the base.
Angélina (Ambiance & Fragrance) detects a warm, intimate ambery white floral, and names it a favorite.

Ambiance & Fragrance, August 16, 2026
Angélina, who runs the blog Ambiance & Fragrance, first praises the decision: a major house opening a new name rather than yet another flanker, when she herself admits to getting lost between the Eau de Parfum, the Intense and the Elixir of an established line.
To her nose, the opening gives a voluptuous white flower already bathed in a warm light; the benzoin surrounds it with an almost velvety amber facet, the tonka bean bringing a vanilla sweetness she judges gourmand without excess.
She calls it a warm, sensual and intimate fragrance, with an enveloping sillage, more at ease as evenings turn cool, from summer into winter. Her verdict is unreserved: a very fine success, and a favorite.
