A blackberry that isn’t shy

Romano Ricci wanted to build a fragrance around a wild blackberry: not a shy or overly polished fruit, but a more generous, more textured one. He wants it luminous, modern and full of depth, with a juicy freshness that takes an unexpected turn.

A touch of chili pepper

Red chili pepper plays the part of a finishing touch: it brings out the blackberry’s wild side and adds a hint of trouble. The house compares it to a red lipstick applied to a clean face, or a line of black eyeliner: a detail that gives character without overwhelming anything.

A gradient bottle

The bottle translates this contrast into a glossy gradient, from a saturated purple to a vivid red, echoing the shift from ripe fruit to chili pepper. A silver cap tops it.

Romano Ricci founded Juliette Has A Gun in 2006. The great-grandson of Nina Ricci and grandson of Robert Ricci, who launched L’Air du Temps, he spent several years working in the perfume industry before starting his own house, whose first two fragrances he created with Francis Kurkdjian.
