Man Extreme

Man Extreme was released in February 2025, a new iteration of the Jimmy Choo Man line launched in 2014. Anne Flipo and Tanguy Guesnet built it as a fougère: red thyme and black pepper in the opening, clary sage and geranium in the aromatic register, and a base where vetiver dries the tonka bean, which the house says is warmed by amber woods.

Red thyme and black pepper

The announced opening combines red thyme and black pepper, two piquant raw materials. The house speaks of a burning freshness for the first, an intense piquancy for the second, and achieves an herbaceous rather than citrus attack.

Clary sage and geranium

The following register returns to geranium and clary sage, the aromatic accord from which the fougère takes its name. Geranium brings a rosy, minty facet, clary sage a soft bitterness, slightly amber.

Tonka bean and vetiver

The base pairs tonka bean, sweetened with almond and cut hay, with vetiver, drier and earthier. The house, in its French version, adds amber woods that its American page does not name.

What the label declares

The label declares coumarin, which corresponds to the announced tonka bean, as well as geraniol and citronellol, which mark the geranium. Limonene and citral carry a citrus facet absent from the announced accord.

Linalool adds a soft floral note, cinnamal a cinnamon and eugenol a clove, two spices the house says nothing about. A UV filter completes the list and protects the juice from light.
