Victoria Frolova would not describe Gris Montaigne as gray and pink blind, but holds the choice of a delicate rose and earthy woods to make a polished fragrance, noticeable without being loud, distinctive enough to stay in memory: wood shavings drenched in rosewater, with just enough damp earth.
The Non-Blonde: elegant on him, pretty on her
Gaia Fishler, in April 2014, finds it a little bitter, which is not a flaw in her eyes, and very dry. On her husband, oakmoss steps forward and Gris Montaigne becomes a masculine of rare elegance; on herself, it is all patchouli, and the fragrance is merely pretty.
